About Passion Labs
Passion Labs is an AI research and development lab dedicated to building intelligent systems that serve real businesses. We combine academic depth with commercial application, helping organisations move beyond off-the-shelf tools to AI solutions that truly fit.

Our team brings together PhD-level machine learning experts, engineers, and strategists who have authored patents, published research, and built systems used by SMEs and enterprises worldwide.

Nadine holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics with a focus on machine learning for multimedia content analysis. Since 2018, she has been developing ML-based solutions to complex real-world problems related to machine listening, computer vision, recommendation systems, time series analysis and generative AI. She has participated in two successful Innovate UK Smart grants as well as several other publicly funded research projects. Nadine holds several patents in the field and has co-authored numerous scientific journal publications and conference papers. As well as her PhD, she has a BSc and MSc in Electoral and Audio Engineering and a further MSc in Sound and Music Computing.

Fabio holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics. His research focuses on algorithm design and machine learning, particularly for drone applications in various industrial domains. He has over three years of experience developing real-world solutions using machine learning techniques for classification, regression, time series analysis, and, more recently, natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI. Additionally, he has over five years of experience in full stack software engineering, creating web and mobile applications using frameworks such as Django/Flask (Python), alongside JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. During his Ph.D., Fabio has actively contributed to several European publicly funded research projects. He is also a co-author of numerous esteemed publications in scientific journals and conferences.

Aggelos is an Associate Professor with the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, Greece. His research interests lie in the areas of machine learning/artificial intelligence for audio, video, speech and music signals with an emphasis on deep neural network architectures, dictionary learning algorithms, hidden Markov Models and dynamic time warping techniques. He is a co-inventor of granted patents on music recommendation technology and he has co-authored two international textbooks with Academic Press in the areas of pattern recognition and audio analysis, as well as more than 50 research papers in international journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on ASLP, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia and IEEE ICASSP. He has also served for a number of years as an Associate Editor of the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing.

George is an ML Engineer and Full Stack Developer with a BSc in Informatics. He has worked on a range of academic and commercial projects in deep learning, computer vision, and data-driven systems, demonstrating both technical depth and creative problem-solving.

Tom has previously built two VC-backed businesses across consumer and tech. More recently, he was managing director of Pyrsos AI Research, an ML consultancy for enterprises. Having received a BSc from Bristol University, he went on to do a number of AI-related Executive Management programmes with INSEAD and Oxford University. His entrepreneurial background has given him broad cross-sector commercial experience.

Vincent holds a BA from the University of Cambridge and has extensive commercial and customer relationship experience across firms like Lazard, HSBC and PwC. He also launched and scaled a startup building AI systems to help SaaS and professional services firms go to market.

Salome holds a BSc in Computer Science with a focus on AI and data science. A former PwC Technology Consultant, she was recognised as UniDays Woman of the Year 2024 and has worked with Google DeepMind and the Raspberry Pi Foundation to make AI education accessible and inclusive worldwide.
The world doesn’t need more hype around AI. It needs systems that work, strategies that last, and technology that respects human creativity. That’s why we called ourselves Passion Labs — because passion is one thing machines can’t replicate.

“At Passion Labs, our aim is to advance the state-of-the-art of artificial intelligence, whilst ensuring each project makes an impact from day one.”
